Nitto ? (Replacing)

I was recently involved in a auto accident with my truck, I had the Trail Grapplers, 20" 35/12.5/20LT I had one tire that was punctured, differently not fixable, and one that hit a wall just some rubber got scrapped off of the side wall, anyways NEW Grapplers have 21/32 tire depth, mine have 8to9/32, I was told I would need to buy 2 new tires so my truck is not off balance and wear out the older tires quicker with just one new tire, vs having 2 new tires either in the front or just the back, is there any truth to this. Thank you for your time.

You need to buy new tires because currently they are ~33% away from being a drag slick and the tires were involved in an accident

welcome to FTE.
you will need AT LEAST 2 tires, and you can keep the sidewall scuffed one for a spare, but with almost 3/4 of the tire used i would just replace all four as A/O said.

thanks guys, reason for 2 is this is going to court, my insurance company would not cover the rims and tires so Im going after the guy that hit me and insurance gave me a credit for the 2 rims and 1 tire, so suing the guy for 2 rims and 2 tires, then after that will be getting new tires and rims.

I wouldn't expect insurance to cover tires.....especially ones with so little tread life left before the accident
