Where can I find engine mounts?
Does any body know where i could find possibly heavy duty engine mounts and transmision mount for my 1988 f150 300 straight 6 with the borg warner t19? I found out a couple months ago (right after i got my truck) that both of the engine mounts were ripped in half and the transmission mount was ripped in half also. At the time my quick fix solution was to weld the engine mounts solid to get me buy cause i had no money. Now i have some money to buy some mounts but i cant find any heavy duty mounts anyplace. Do any of you know where to find some? If i have to i will buy OEM spec mounts but they already broke onece so i want something stronger.

They broke once on a 25yo truck, I would say get OEM replacements, I can only point at sites, but I would advice checking with our sponsors, several carry quality parts and might have just what you need.

I'm not sure about the transmission mount, but for the motor just get some Anchor 2698SR mounts. The "SR" stands for "Solid Rubber" and as such should be more durable than a hydraulic mount. Just make sure you actually get the solid rubber version AND that they're of the same manufacture. Motor mounts are made all over the world and the build-spec seems to vary by manufacturer.
