I have a 08 V10 f250 4x4 with 206k miles. Recently after passing someone it started losing power and making a loud squeeling noise, that seemed to be coming from the driver's side bank.
Oil pressure and temperature were fine, but I kept smelling raw fuel. I managed to get it home, and everything under the hood was scalding hot, despite a normal temp gauge.
I checked all fluids, and found that nothing was mixed, and yesterday when I was looking it over the squeeling had disappeared but the poor performance was still there.
Any suggestions on where to go from here, drop the pan, pull the valve cover etc? I really need to get this truck back on the highway, so any help would be much appreciated. <!-- / message -->
