i have a 1994 bronco with 351 and a4od. speedo doesnt work at all and tranny shifts hard at 3000. changed rear speed sensor. what else could it be? thank you

If you have replaced the VSS and you still have issues, have you cleared fault codes? Have you run a KOEO and KOER test to determine if the computer shows any other faults?

 

Welcome to FTE! Could you please define "speedo doesnt work at all" Does that mean the needle never moves and/or the odometer is blank? The repair could be significantly different depending on the failure mode.

A minor correction: there is no "a4od", the proper name is E4OD (Electronic 4-speed Over Drive) transmission.

 

i suspect he issue is with your ABS control module. you may have to search but there is a process for jumping a series of pins on that plug to bypass the module. i had this very issue on my 94. once you install the jumpers drive it around and tranny should be back to normal along with the speedo.
