Yeah, I haven't called any shops because they would probably charge out the *** but it looks like that's what Imma have to do. Just been calling my buddys and friends of my buddys but no one is confident enough to do it.
you kind of heard rite, the owner gives a lot of head, it's what he does for work. why do you think he's blind in one eye? truckstop glory hole accident.
Most here run in low range but be aware it takes about 5-800rpm out of your stall converter. Ideally its better to run in 4hi with much deeper/lower gears which isn't the easiest option for a street driven vehicle
I run Pro Mod, Pro Outlaw, and full Outlaw classes up here. Pretty much anything goes in the outlaw classes. The Pro Mod is DOT tires and factory frames, no power adders, but other than that, anything else goes.
It's going to be hard to find anything lower than 5.13 for a front ford d44 with its high pinion reverse gear set. I run that gear, on the low side of a 205 transfer case to get me on top of the mud and skim across. I did this with my little 466ci iron headed motor, and I'm going to be doing it again with the new 488ci aluminum headed monster. Next upgrade for me might be a front 9" setup with d44 liters so I can run deeper gears and go hi side with a chain drive
