Exclamation The Next Get-Together Thread...Fall 2013

I thought I would start us a thread to discuss our next GTG.....

We've got plenty of time, and the summer GTG's are just miserably hot, so I thought we would shoot for sometime around October... Thoughts?

There was talk at the last GTG about having it down south somewhere...last time we had it at a campsite there at Moro Bay.

Moro Bay State Park

I'm game for that, I could pull the camper down and stay a few nights..

We're game for that! The first weekend wouldn't be a good idea for us (anniverary weekend)...and the last weekend I'm usually at a different GTG over in Oklahoma. So the 12th/13th or the 19th/20th are open so far. As far as Moro Bay...sounds interesting.

As long as someone doesn't show up in an PT Cruiser or a Xterra...it will all be good in my book.

Come on down! Bought a party barge last week, so that's probably what I would show up with if we have it at Moro Bay
State Park.
And Oct. 25th thru 28th we'll be at a teardrop camper gathering in LA, so any time other than that should be fine.

How odd. This is the first time I've seen this thread???

I have a powerlifting meet in Russellville the 19th, otherwise I'm good with October.

The 12th sounds good to me. Things may change between now and then, but if they don't then I'm in.

The 12th sounds good to us as well. But I'm going to use Will's disclaimer...subject to change for us.

With a 3 month unpaid vacation looming, I may be completely stir-crazy or Micki might have knocked me off by then, but I intend to be there

Hey Jeff, are there any camp sites at the bay that are big enough for the gtg?

The one we had before was nice, close parking and a playground nearby..

Was that #9 on this map?

Not sure what site we had before, I'll try to remember to ride through the campground on the way home today. I know it wasn't #9, that is a pull-thru site. I think we had site #10.

I rode through yesterday and looked, we used site #10 for the gtg before. It has a large gravel pad for tables and such and is located right across the road from the playground and near the restrooms.

When I called this morning, most of the good campsites were reserved.. They had a cabin open for just the 12th so I went ahead and reserved it.

Site #9 was available but only after 3pm on the 12th.. that would put our GTG running into skeeter supper..

There is a Picnic area that Jeff pointed out would be a good spot for the actual meetup..

Anybody else planning on camping? As of today, 9/11 the only sites available Fri-Sat was #1-5 and #14-19.

It's gettin closer folks, lets talk some ideas for a time and meal..

I was thinking maybe 1 or 2pm.. just to give everyone ample travel time.

I'm open for any and all suggestions about what we want to do for food. There's a small grill at some of the picnic tables, we could make use of that and maybe a propane stove if something needs to be re-heated.
