96 F150 351 MAF. What is the part circled in red? It looks similar to the EGR solenoid on my truck (circled in yellow). These pictures are just images I found online, not actually of my truck.
First pic with the red circle is the barometric sensor. Second pic with the yellow circle is the EGR solenoid.
Off topic, how ya been man? Haven't seen you post in forever.
The item circled in red is a Vapor Management Valve (VMV). It is a fancier version of the old Canister Purge (CANP) Valve from the OBD-I days for handling gas fumes from the tank.
MAF trucks do not use a barometric sensor. The early fuel injected Mustangs did use a baro sensor, but Ford abandoned it after the first few years.
Bob, I've been doing well. Had an interesting last couple years, but I don't think I'm any worse for the wear. I've gotten on here a couple times here and there, but I hope that I'll be back a lot this spring/summer. The truck needs a LOT of catchup maintenance, and this had always been my "go to" place for information.
What about you? What's been going on in your neck of the woods?
Are you sure that's a barometric sensor? I can't find anything like that online? do you mean like a MAP sensor? I wouldn't think I would have one being that this truck is MAF.

Thanks ral2005. I'd add to your rep, but I the site says I have to spread the love first.
No worries Bob. That VMV is indigenous to 1996 and up OBD-II trucks like the F150 and Bronco. Never saw an OBD-II OBS F250/350 to know if they have them too.
