I mentioned something before about a list of vendors and how we rated their customer satisfaction. I want to know who you have purchased parts from and the quality of parts from them. I will update this initial post so people will not have to dig. This is the only way I could come up with to mitigate paid advertisement.
Some words
What one person feels is good service others may think of as poor
I may not purchase from a company because someone I know bad mouthed them only to learn later that the person doing the ordering didn't know what they needed or what they were doing.
I've read brilliant write ups about company's and I can't even get them to answer the phone (I would like to ask fellow FTE'rs to stop passing my PH# around so that others may block it)
A list may not go well with the FTE Powers due to advertising policies
Anyway if such a list develops please read it carefully
I think Penn Dick makes a good point. The service that you receive can be greatly affected by the information that you provide the supplier. And, in this day of the darksider, it may be difficult to correctly communicate what you need. IE: Be sure to let them know if your suspension is out of a 1973 Mustang instead of your stock 1948 F1. Or, that you have upgraded to 12 volts, etc. Also, many of us will have different expectations. IE: I'm just glad when I can talk to somebody that speaks English and they are willing to tell me the truth about availability. Jag
