tailgate opinions

I picked up this tailgate the other day. I'm going to get some body metal and use a hole saw and cut some pieces to patch in the holes, then probably just get it painted instead of messing with it myself. I've got this ford symbol, I think its out of a late 90's nbs 150 grill. I was thinking of putting it on my tailgate. Here's a couple pics with it just laying on there, I'd have to drill holes on both sides to mount it, but it could be done for sure.

What do you think? Bottom right? Middle? Neither? Too big? Too small? I think I kind of like the bottom right.

If you want to do an F250 badge too, then put the Ford emblem in the bottom right and the F250 badge in the bottom left. If you just want the Ford emblem and nothing else, then I'd do it in the middle. That's just a thought

I vote to find the original wide aluminum moulding that covers that area along with the attaching hardware and install that over filling the holes and putting an emblem on that doesn't belong.

I have the original moulding. I hate it, thus it is off.

Thanks for the opinions guys, maybe I'll look for an F250 badge too. I do kinda like both places, so I guess we'll see.

I like factory original badges, or no badges at all. But, do whatever you like, since it's your truck.

I like the middle. You want to get rid of the aluminum? I like it and my new tailgate needs painted, but my aluminum trim piece is just a little tweaked.

Put it back together, sell it on CL & buy another one w/o holes. Unless there are none to be found in your neck of the woods.

I like the ford in the bottom right, and an F250 badge in the bottom left.

I wanted one with no holes. Your last statement was right though, none to be found. Especially in this good of shape.

Todd, the original piece has just a couple real little dings on it, but I told my friend he could have it back.

it took me a year to fine a tailgate with the stainless panel intact...they are rare and hard to find.

I like lower right, but over an inch or two more to the left and maybe down an inch.
