That's pretty cool. It doesn't say if it was originally a PSD or a gasser, but regardless, it probably simplifies maintenance having the IDI in there.

it's a '97 NBS f150.so it used to be a gas engine.waste of a good idi drive train imho lol.
best to set her back in an OBS.

Obs I agree but at least someone upgraded a newer truck with an older engine instead of an older truck with a newer engine!

If you look close it appears to me they put the 97 body on the IDI frame. The axles are 8 bolt and in the engine compartment you can see a body mount from the IDI style frame.

I kind of like it. I'm assuming the a/c and electrical is a mess, but I still like it.
