My egr is cracked on my 2003 f350 and leaking I was thinking of doing a delete by welding plugs into each side and just letting the coolant sit in there like a reservoir but what I am afraid of is that the coolant is going to pick up exhaust particles where my egr cooler is cracked and circulate them back to my oil cooler will this be a problem or am I over thinking the whole thing
just do an actual egr delete. since u already open it that far to get it out to weld it, i just think u might as well consider replacing it, unless u live in california.
i have a good used unit available. i just did my egr delete so i got an egr cooler handy. it even has the blue egr cooler hose, but i'd recommend getting a new blue egr cooler hose.

Your cooler won't work on his truck, different coolers between early engine and late engine.
Well that's what I thought to does anyone have a 2003 egr cooler that they want to sell that is in good condition so I can do the stealth delete on my truck
Hold on a sec! I think mine will fit the early years. Egr cooler is in the same spot and the hookup to the up-pipe is the same too. Only difference is the egr cooler found on the 03 and 04 years is the round one, which is more reliable. The 05 and later is the square one which is more prone to failure. I'm sorry but this thought only hit me just now. When I replied earlier, I was touching myself. Hence, I was distracted.

You can put a late cooler on an early engine if you also use a late style up-pipe.
Can't use a square cooler with a round cooler's up-pipe and vice Versa
correct! sorry i'm out of it, but yes, if u use a later year egr cooler, then u gotta use that up-pipe as well. but the 2003 and 2004 egr cooler is much better than my 2005's.
here is a pic from my gallery of how the egr cooler looks. it still works. no leaks. just grimy. i could have it cleaned for you before i ship it to u.
