2012 f550
i have to keep stopping to empty water from my fuel filter on my f550. how would water get in there? could it be that the last gas station i stopped at had water mixed in their diesel? Also, how can this be repaired?

Yes!. Drain that tank! If you are in fact getting water then you have bad fuel. I would not drive the truck till cleaned out.
If the fuel does not have water...then maybe a sensor issue.
Either way till you find out I would not drive it due to the risk of water in the fuel trashing your fuel system.
