How much is my truck worth?

Very nice truck, its easy to tell you have put a lot of care and effort into it.
Im in agreement with Oneowner - If you have any sort of sentimental attachment to this truck, you will spend the next 20 years wishing you kept it. I know that the two possessions of mine that I will never sell are my 10/22 I got when I was 13, and my truck.
How often do the 3 of you go anywhere all together in it? Is it realistic to thing that the 4 of you would ever go anywhere in the replacement? My wife and I have a 10-month old, and I think the 3 of us have been in my car twice. Any other time we go anywhere we take her Grand Cherokee.
As far as trying to correlate what you have spent, and what you can get for it, dont bother. Im probably up to $14,500 all in on my truck, and have another $15k over 2 years planned. As of today I doubt I could get more than $5k for it and once she is done I think $10k would be a stretch.
What you get for your truck is 100% dependent on who will buy it. Sounds silly, but true. I paid about $1,500 too much for mine, and probably would have paid even more, but only because when I was 16 I totaled my fathers Blue on Blue 1981 F100 Custom that he bought new off the lot.
That all said, I doubt your will get what you want (or what I think you should get) at the dealership. Old trucks and cars are a niche thing. You need to find yourself a broader audience than the local classifieds, or a "FOR SALE" sign on the window.
If I were to try and sell your truck I would do a few things -
1 - Repaint the instrument and radio bezels satin black. You make like the blue, but its like trying to sell a house with a hot-pink living room. We all know the walls are easily repainted, but people are stupid.
2 - Looks like you are in Kansas - have you thought about Mecum Auto Auction? Ive seen late 70's - early 80's trucks getting some decent sales when watching on TV.
3 - Ebay - If you are in no rush, its a great place to put it up for sale and get a wider audience and maybe find that one person who will pay the extra $1,500 like I did.

I do love this truck a lot, that having been said, I really need the money,we are trying to buy a home and I am starting my career at the body shop of this dealership. I have worked there about a year. in the future I plan on doing a restoration of older trucks for my sons first vehicles. I already bought a replacement. a 98 dodge ram 2500. I would really like one of these that is 4 door, lifted and has a cummins swap in it. I know I will hate myself someday in the future, and I understand about the niche thing, i think it would be a great truck for someone in high school. It will be sad to see someone else driving it but it has to go.

You've got two or three cars, why sell the truck because you can't fit four people inside of it? Not trying to be rude or anything, but that sounds kind of silly to me. I can understand needing money and wanting to get a new house though.
I disagree that it'd be a good truck for someone in high school.
Try to find an older gentleman (30's + ) who knows what he's looking at that has a sense of responsibility. If you sell it to a high-schooler it's either going to get wrecked, or they'll tear it up playing with it off road. I realize that what they do with it after you get your money probably doesn't matter to you, but I have an extreme amount of distaste for people who don't take care of their personal belongings.
You've got a nice truck. I wish you didn't have to sell off something you put your heart and soul into.

That is a beautiful truck!!! I myself would keep it. I have 4 vehicles now and only use 2 of them. The other 2 sit in the shed till I can afford to redo them like I want.
Around here I would say your truck would sell for $5k easily. If you were closer I'd be at your door step with $3k Saturday.
