Hey guys, i got a problem, 1992 F-150 5.0L 4X4 E4OD, Earlier this afternoon, my truck started sputtering when accelerating from stop. I take my foot off the brake and press on the gas only to have the engine putter and wheez, it feels like the truck is about to stall out, but it doesn't. Then after a few seconds power is back to normal and i continue to accelerate. Does anyone have any clue as to what my problem is? I would like to recify this problem asap.
Thanks in advance!!
The subject line of your post should indicate something about the problem.
Your first step on an engine problem is ALWAYS to pull the codes and diagnose whatever system is indicated, using the test procedures in the Haynes manual. You'll probably need a multimeter ($10-50) and a vacuum gauge to check the pressure at idle.
