Does anyone know why it is constantly raining here in Bucks County, Pennsylvania??? I am sitting inside playing games on my computer and wondering when I'll get a suntan. It has been raining here, or it has been cloudy and cold since the end of April.
We get one day of partly cloudy skies, the sun comes out for a few hours then it starts raining again. I don't remember such a cold wet May and June. We usually have had at least one day in the nineties by this time.
Is it like this every where on the east coast and how is everyone holding up????
I have friends in Virgina and they're in the same boat!....... Literally. One of my buddys says you can go boating in his back field it's holding that much water.
I don't know where you are getting the Northeast, consider it the whole East coast. In SC I managed to get into the backyard one time so far this year and mowed the grass.
I jumped off the mower when it spin out, held the drivers seat down with one hand so the safety switch wouldn't cut off the motor, ran along side the mower (slinging mud at me) pushing the mower by the steering wheel as I went. This is the worse I've seen in 20 years at this location.
Same boat here in CT, been raining constantly for so long, I forgot what nice weather looks like. Last month, we had 23 days of rainaccording to the news.
The part that really sux is that we have close to 600 air conditioning tuneups to do that we usually start in late April. As soon as the weather warms up, we get to run around like nuts and get them all done before the fall oil cleanings start.
It's also killing my outside fun time. It's raining here right now, and I hate it.
My Dad works in Langhorne! I live in King of Prussia...I know what you mean, I like the rain but I also would like to wash my truck....Every time i get a good fortcast...I wash her and it rains! Such a PITA! Take care!
OK - you're makin me jealous, I'll take a little of ya'lls rain. When it's just sunny - it's perfect. But we keep having the "threat" of rain - and no rain! Wish it would just dump it's load already - these roads could use a little water to smooth out the bumps
All I can do is laugh. I'm originally from New Jersey for 29 years, my entire life until 2000, and this just reinforces even further my decision to move to South Carolina. Of course, it just pisses off my entire family back in NJ when I call them from the beach and tell them how beautiful it is here.
Yep, here in NJ its been nasty for the last 2 months. I think in May we had 3 sunny days. The rest was cloudy or rain! My truck has sat for almost a month (I have to adjust the rockers/pushrods since I didn't set them up right in the first place) because every weekend has been a washout. Well, maybe next weekend will be better, we'll see! Of course, the sunny days in June have been on work days, so I was naturally stuck in an office all day (Ironically, we had one work day it was beautiful until about 4pm.. then the clouds and rain rolled in.. arrrgh!!). Hopefully soon we'll see that bright thing... I think it's called the sun?? At least that's what I've heard...
Just so ya know, here in Bucks County Pa. there were only 3 days where it did not rain in May. So far in June only one day where it did not rain. While watching Channel 10's Glenn "hurricane" Schwartz he said the same weather pattern will continue through much of June. This really sucks. Oh well at least the drought is over.
Glen Hurricane Schwartz. Man, I miss those local Philly news guys. I was home visiting last year when I saw John Bolaris do his last show. I used to see him all over the place and met him a few times. The news people down here in Myrtle Beach just don't have the same charisma as those guys in Philly.
Hmmmmmmm.........so ya'll got too much snow this winter, too much rain this spring. I do empathize - grew up in FL, so I know rain. I think? It's wet, right? Kinda pools on the ground? LMAO I know it, I'm just not getting any. Rain, I mean.
Well when I think of warm, sunny spot to live......hmmmmm......nope, the northeast doesnt come to mind. We have had a bunch of rain down here this year too. Had over 10 inches in one day!!!
