Yes, thanks - sorry, I did have another thread going and maybe I should have stuck with that one so the history was all clear. FSS has been tested good , but good point I'll give it a quick test here before I start my next cranking session. pi$$ing down rain right now

Running again :) But riddle me this...

So I'm up and running again with a new starter.. I have NEVER heard the old girl turn over so fast! I had also replaced my battery cables with some not-new-but-better ones I had.

At first, I ran it out of the jerrycan. That was great, it was ticking away, I was skipping around all happy, putting tools away, letting it warm up. So I turn it off and hear the fuel pi$$ing on the ground. Turns out it's coming out of the original feed line from the tanks, the line I pulled off the lift pump so I could put my jerrycan line in. I hadn't plugged that feed line, but I didn't think i'd need to...why was so much fuel pouring back out of it? Maybe as muhc as a gallon on the ground in 10 minutes of idling
Clearly something about the fuel system I don't understand, because I was NOT expecting that. I thought fuel return lines would just pour into the tank... I'd like to understand why that happened. I have a full tank, maybe that's it? Fuel was running from my jerrycan, down return lines, to my tank, and overfilling the tank?

Anyway, I'm all hooked up again and everything's working great. Thank you all for your support.

check the vent hose on your tank it could be pluged, the return fuel could be pressuring the the tank pushin fuel out.
Also your fuel pump is down hill from your tank the fuel can siphon out on its own, but is should do that all the time
