A few years ago, I swapped out my cruddy OEM cassette player unit for a OEM six disk changer unit. That was about the best you could get for the Excursion/Super Duties from Ford.
You can keep the rear DVD no matter what head unit you have. Mine has an aftermarket head unit and the rear DVD has audio plugged into AUX of the head unit. I bought the truck used this way, so I don't know which wires supply the audio.
I want the 6-disc, all I have is the tape and cd. I like that I can use my cassette adapter to listen to my music, but it's always in the way (the cord that is).
