hard to start when warm
the bolt that was on the dist was loose and it moved.. thanks for the help guys..sorry fuggy...allso fixed my electric door locks with the solineid from a 90's van ..the rod was short but i just drilled out the bracket and riveted in a little higher works great and didnt cost any thing the van ws junk ...just a tip

Renting is not effective for such an inexpensive tool. I would buy a good unit, w/ an inductive pickup. I have one that I paid less than $50, that I've had for 20+ yrs.
Timing light w/ inductive pickup has another good use besides settting the timing. When you have a miss, move the inductive pickup to each spark plug wire and fire the strobe light. If light does not fire or fires intermittently, that wire is connected to the defective cylinder; bad wire, plug, valve, or other mechanical fault.

hey whats up i was having the same prob with my truck i have a 87 bronco an it was doing the same thign till one day it started to shut off an then it shut off for the last time an its been dead for about 3 weeks now because i have no spark now so if you can still drive you truck go to a mechanic and have them run a test on it to see what they say because i was going to do the same but i never got the chance because my truck died befor i could
