I have never owned anything other than Ford products and this is the fourth dent I have done in the last couple of years so I have a slew of catalogs and parts, just no crew specific parts. Have been all over the Internet putting feelers out for parts and ordering what I can find. Not sure exactly what I will need with the exception of the rear door pulls and a good tail gate (they are missing), just need the truck.
Glad you got it finally. Those Ca trucks sure are a deam to work on. That is where my Supercab came from. Your going to have a hell of a time finding rear door panels. If I were you I'd clean those and paint them black with SEM paint. They'll look like new when done.
The guy sent a bunch of stuff I really don't want like 2 BIG radiators, wood grain dash bezels, glove box cover and surround, as well as a chrome drop bumper with a hitch on it (currently on truck), a 5th wheel/gooseneck tailgate, and drop away gooseneck ball. Pm me if you want any of it and live close enough because I really don't want to ship the big stuff.

Thanks, looking forward to tearing into it. Changed plugs, wires, cap and button, all the usual first thing you do to a new truck kind of things. Going to start pulling all the smog crap and the like tomorrow after I take it to the body shop and get an idea what it's going to cost for the paint job , the one thing I'm going to need to sub out. I am NOT a body man!
Looks awesome I am jealous. I would just paint the door panels too. Good luck finding replacements. I would have done the same thing-gone and picked it up myself. Cool to see it pulled with another ford of the same era.

Thanks, I'm excited. Been offered a couple different sets but haven't been priced yet. If they are out of my range right now, body and paint are going to kill me (going to strip and paint inside too) then ill clean and paint them. It's not like they will actually get used much, I just want them right or at least as right as budget will allow. Ranger429, what is the SEM paint?
SEM is an interior paint in spray cans. Should be able to google it.
Buy yourself an air compressor, a DA and some sandpaper and sand that down yourself. It isn't hard at all and you'll save a lot of money. Send it to the body shop needing primer and paint.
Where can you get SEM? What's going to strip the grey paint and not ruin the plastic so the SEM is on the panel and not the existing paint? Sanding will ruin them.
I have seen it at reputable parts store, paint supply stores or online. If that paint is adhered good to the door panels just lightly scuff them with a fine scuff pad clean and paint. They also make an adhesion promoter, you may or may not need that.
