Hey all. I have a question regarding the side windows in my old project. The channel that holds the glass and rides on the regulator on both sides is pretty rusted. Do I need to replace them? If so, anyone know where to get parts and how to do it? See pics below:
P.S. I don't know why they are turned wrong, couldn't fix it
If its rusty enough that you think it might fall apart it would be easiest to just buy a whole window track and all. They are easy to find , I have lots of them around. It its solid and not going to come apart, go ahead and use it . Its ugly but it wont show, and it looks like the track that the actual roller fits in is fairly clean.
Hey 79,
hit them with a wire wheel to knock down the rust to see how bad they bare. If not too bad, tape off the glass, spray the metal with primer and then paint it. Easy to do and that will give you a better idea of what you have and make it last a long time.
