i agree with the filler issue of the mustang tank conversion, i am going to move the filler to the drivers side so the filler cap will be on the inside horizontal wall of the bed .

The same thing happened to me on my '67. I loaned it to my son-in-law. He tried to be a good guy, filled it before going to work, parked in the sun.

That's a darn good question. But I do remember in the past every-once-in-a-while seeing those tell tale rings in other people's paint under the gas cap.

It has been a problem for a looooooong time. Even back before lead free was an option.
