I don't see a big block F250 weighing anything less than 5500lbs
My F-350 with about 9 gallons of gas, and all of my "junk" out of the truck weighs about 5300 with me in it (verified by scale). The dry weight on the title is just over 4700, that was with a 351 so my 460 adds a bit of weight. My tires/wheels add a little.
Why would you drag race a truck that weighs close to 6k lbs and makes less than 300 horsepower? Nobody would win in a drag race except for whomever sold you fuel.
funniest thing I have read in a while I owe you some hot boudin (like a brat but way better) and ice cold beer if you ever get down this way
The Ford will still win because it will be the only one to cross the finish line!
I'm not sure how that F350 above only weighs 5300. My 7.3 5spd 4x4 RCLB is right at 6000 empty, scale verified. Also no way that 460 F250 is 4800, it is equipped exactly the same as my truck except for engine and the 7.3 is nowhere close to 1200lb MORE than a 460.
A 7.3 weighs a good 600 pounds more than a 460 fully dressed. A 2WD 5spd Windsor RCLB F-250 might be able to get down around 5000 pounds.
That's still 600 lbs unaccounted for. I wish it was possible to find concrete numbers, I've seen 460s claimed to be anywhere from 570-720 lb and IDIs from 860-1400lb.
