truck is a 77 F350 with a 460, and it had AC at one point.
the belt that is currently on the alternator is small, it only wraps the crank pulley and the alt pulley. the parts store guy measured it and it measures out to a "lawnmower" belt. the belt his computer spit out was way too long..
can someone take a picture of their similar setup, or post a factory diagram of how the belt is supposed to be routed? as it looks right now, i'd have to move the alternator forward ~1.5" to get it in front of the Power Steering belt. the crank pulley has 3 grooves, and the power steering rides on the middle, lines up fine and the belt they sold me works perfect for that one.
Got it sorted. Parts store had the wrong belt in the right package, now everything is bueno. I know it only technically needs to wrap the 2 pulleys, but seeing the other 2 accessories wrapped 3 i just wanted to make sure. The truck has seen more than its share of farm fixes, just wanted to make sure the belts were routed properly.
Number dummy, do you have all these part numbers memorized???
