Does anyone here have any experience with lowering a 4x4? I recently purchased a'13 F250 4x4 Platinum & would like to bring it down about 2-3 inches in front & 4-5 inches out back. Nothing drastic. My wife & I recently found out that we're expecting. It's going to be more & more challenging for her to get in & out of the truck over time. Plus I think it'll look better slightly lowered. Thanks for the help in advance.
First, Welcome to FTE and Congrats Poppa !!!
what timing - get the truck you want and then....
I wouldn't lower it -- just too many factors IMHO....
Have you considered buying some AMP powered steps with extensions that are easier to get in and out with... (try a f-350 platinum if you think the 250's are high )
i wouldnt lower it either, the front needs a certain amount of wheel travel for bumps in the road. Like jdadamsjr said buy a set of power steps POWERSTEP
The problem is there's only so much room between the frame and axle, and if you take out three inches up front you'll be hitting the bumps stops constantly.
Thanks for the congrats. I was already looking into the Powersteps. That was something I wished they kept the same on all Platinum models. The 150s have it. Just gives the truck a much cleaner look.
