Power Steering Pump

Curious if anybody knows if the oem power steering pumps are all the same from 1978 through 1996 Bronco's. Pumps physically look the same but have different part numbers.

from what i found the pump was the same from 1978- 1989 then another for 1990-1996 they do look the same though don't they

So would a pump from a 78 fit a 96?

What are the differences?

The bolts for the mounting may be different.

could be different bolt up or shaft size or ever hose fittings. the best i can offer is to go to a parts store and have them pull both, then compare them side by side

I would agree with Manfred, the mounts might be different but otherwise it should work. That and the pulley difference.

I'm sure you've seen them but here was mine before I did the Saginaw upgrade.
