Hypertech Max energy- return to stock?
I have a work truck (04 Ford 6.0) with a Hypertech Max Energy 42002 programmer. It got set back to factory a couple years ago and we haven't used it since. The truck will be going down the road as well someday soon. I would like to sell it the programmer (maybe on ebay?) and recoup some of my money. How do I make sure it's going to work for the next guy?
I have never fooled with the programmer myself and the main guy who did is gone as well. I plugged the programmer back in the truck and it went through its thing asking for key on/off key switches and y/n entries and after a few steps it said 'cal not found' and instructed me to use the cd to update the programmer. I went through that process as well, and the computer said it had updated the programmer. I have not done anything else since. Did I do enough? Is there a way to check if the programmer is ready for a new vehicle?
good luck -jm
