I had my wife with a wrench in cab and socket on bottom, snugged up good. It had a sleeve to avoid crushing the pan, but I don't know that was really necessary.
Then I either did or definitely meant to tack the nut to the bolt for a lock washer.... Avoiding inhaling fumes from plated steel.
Thanks for the reply. Called a friend who is a machinist. With the type and size bolts I am using he gave me the correct amount of torque. He said two grunts should be enough.
