Unhappy Big tire clearance issues

I found a great local deal on some TrXus STS 39.5" tires, $650 for a lightly used set of four. I was headed to pick up my cousin's trailer so I could go buy them when I decided that I better have a look at my current wheels/tires when turned to full lock. I just recently purchased some 16x12 Mickey Thompson Classic III wheels and stretched my 315s onto them. Well to my surprise, because of the extreme negative offset, I am barely clearing the 315s right now. The front is no problem, I don't exactly have a bumper, but the back of the front fenders would rub without a doubt. I doubt if I could even clear 37" tires with this offset.

So there are a few ways that I could deal with this:
  1. I could get bushwacker cutout fender flares
  2. I could get some new spring hangers for the front
  3. I could get mini spring packs

Option 1 is the best because it won't give me the Cali squat, but it is an expensive proposition. $400 worth of flares, tricky install in the rear on account of the rear doors. Color matched paint, etc. Also I'd never be able to run 35" tires again without it looking incredibly stupid.

Option 2 and 3 are pretty in-expensive, but may not give me enough clearance.

I suppose option 4 is forget those tires even though they are a great deal and focus on new gears and a winch, buy an extra wheel or two so I have my spares back. I used to have six wheels, I still have six tires, but only four wheels.

I guess the purpose of my post is two-fold, to warn people that extreme offset rims can actually cause un-expected clearance issues, and to ask you guys your opinions about what you think I should do next?

Also, just how much lift can be gained from new hangers in the front?
