Hi guys. I have a 2003 6.0. I just had my ficm repaired by Ed, changed my fuel filters and oil and added hotshots sticktion eliminater. My trans was just rebuilt, coolant change with new radiator and new batteries. The only code I get is contribution in injector 8. With the tunner on or off its real sluggish then when it gets to 2000rpms it takes off.
One dead injector will turn the mighty 6.0L into a gutless wonder. When my #2 went out my truck couldn't get out of its own way. I would replace the #8 injector and have the fuel pressure tested. It is also a good idea to install a fuel pressure gauge so you can keep an eye on it.
I was planning on getting some gages boost, trans temp, egt and fuel pressure. I have the edge with attitude but am on my second trans so I am removing it and will need the gages when it goes since the sct tunner dose'nt do that. I just put the truck back on the road after 15 months. I change the oil and all filters and put HSS in the oil. I now have 145 miles on it with HSS and its running so much better. 8 comes up only on occasion but 5 and 7 are showing up when its running rough but now I have a new issue. Its spiking in temp and overflowing when at highway speeds(65mph @ 270) not around town driving (25mph to 40mph @ 212 on the high end). Its the water pump not the oil Cooler right? Please say its the water pump. Ugh! There is not an egr cooler and I just put a new crad cap on about 3 hours ago. A
I deleted the egt and cooler before the trans was blown. Never had coolant in the intake and cooler was not leaking when removed and no oil in coolant or coolant in oil and still don't. I had to put coolant in so I could get home and I put about 5 mile on it after the boil over. I just checked the truck and I haven't lost any coolant nor are there any leaks on or around the truck. Its weird. I do have a lot of sludge floating in the overflow. Which is weird cause I put in a brand new radiator while the ficm was being fixed a week ago.

The Oil Cooler has Burst Unless the new Radiator had SLudge in it Sludge in the Coolant Bottle is OIL in the Coolant Normaly
The new radiator should have been clean
This truck has Multiple problems And SHOULD NOT be DRIVEN or even STARTED for that matter
I did have a radiator blow on me 2 years ago, I replaced it the the truck sat for the 15 months and when I started it to move it so I could remove the trans the seal on the rad was leaking. It was under warranty so I replaced it. Could it be leftover crap from sitting for so long. I didn't do a flush before installing new rad cause the ficm was getting fixed.

OH OK Gottcha!!!!!!!
Then Sounds like the Oil Cooler DID NOT Burst then
But it does Need Flushed Hope the Oil Cooler dont plug during this need to get the Trans fluid out the coolant
But Starting to look a Little better LOL was seaming like things Got Worse and Worse with each post
