PCV valve ?

PCV valve ?
My 56 has a 1963 292 motor in it. I don't see a pcv valve anywhere on it. Also the block does NOT have the ventilation tube on the drivers side down by the fuel pump. Does it just vent through the oil filler cap?

Both of my Y-blocks are 1955. They both have breathers on the driver side of the block and the oil tube. Some PO may have blocked off your block breather. They tend to drip oil occasionally and they may have wanted to eliminate the bother. If I were you, I would restore the breather for better block ventilation. Good luck, Jag

It might be that there was no breather, but it had a PCV instead and a PO has modified that. I do not know what the 63 Y-blocks were configured like. Maybe if you ask in the Y-Block engine portion of this site an expert would have the real info.

1964 292 same as 1961/63. 6A666 is the smog valve.

My truck was built in KC and been in Kansas it's whole life. I'll check mine t against the diagram.
