Greetings Everyone, hope that everyone is doing well.\

Well, here it is a Saturday, and I scoured a local parts emporium ( AKA Junkyard) looking for parts for an 80-86 F150. They only had one, uno, ein, dien, un, ichi !!!! ........

.....What is up with that? Are they all still running down the highway, hidden in garages or what..... Where'd they go!!!!

Oh well, has anyone got stuff that they need to see gone, one way or another, or..... any promising leads?

Any parts that I can find are actually going my son's truck in Williamsburg, Va! The truck has 180,000 on the old 300, and the transmission is whining and the rear is loud!
I need the usual stuff, door panels, column shifter is VERY worn and dash panel is blown out in the center speaker hole.

This is the second time that my son has owned this truck. He bought it about 8 years ago, but at that time, he had a girlfriend that thought that it was not nearly cool enough for her to be seen in. ( A real princess ! ) So, he sold it and bought a new 2009 F250 Lariat Diesel 4 X 4, and loved it till the pump gave up the ghost with no warning, stranding his wife (this one's a keeper) and daughter! Although Ford did cover it, he lost faith in it, and as soon as he got the diesel back from Ford, he flat-out sold it. So, he bought the old 81 back from my brother who just bought a used 2012 Platinum. Keepin' it in the family!..........lol

I have to look, I may have a blue dash pad.

The shifter needs new bushings, they are pretty easy to install, just use a c clamp to push the old one out with the new one.Ford still has them, I'll have to dig for the part number

If he has a c-5, it will start whineing around 170.but still keeps going up to 250. Keep an eye on the mod valve on the back, if it starts sucking trans fluid into the vac line, replace it. It will start shifting late, and exhaust will have white smoke.

I know for sure I have a new set of cab corners, and a patch for the bed around the right tire.

I also have a offenhauser intake with a holley 4180 on it. There's also a set of headers, and a split exhaust from the newer trucks.

I'll look in the bus tomorrow, and see what's left, a bunch of it went when I scrapped the last 82. Sadly, I kept screaming on line for a few months, free to a good home, no one needed it then, lol

I know the feeling on the new truck deal. Last new truck I bought was an 03 F-350 4x4. biggest POS I ever owned.I owned it foe 19 months, and Ford bought it back. I have bought $500 trucks ever since, I'll never buy a new one again

Wow, wish that I had seen that then!!!! Let me know what you have and what you'd like to get for it. My wife mentioned just today that she needs to go to "Replacements" in NC and that we could have a nice day or two trip! She could get something that she wants, and I could get some stuff that I need! Everybody is happy!

Sounds like Charlie might be able to hook you up with some needed parts which is great to see. Day was nice here too as the temps were in the low 70's and sunny. Spent a good portion of the afternoon at my parent's house sorting through some stuff that my wife and I still have in their attic. They are selling the house and have accepted a purchase offer on it, so we need to get or stuff out.

My Mother passed away last August. She was 87, lived by herself and still kept her house as neat as a pin, and between my two brothers and I, it is exactly as it was when she left to go with the EMTs. We haven't touched anything.
It is always hard to leave "home", lots of memories there!
