Just went and looked . Blend door motor on mine is driver side , heater box, behind console . Can see from floorboard . I replaced by pulling center console and a bracket . I did not have to remove the dash . The part was around $50 .00 . It was not hard to replace . I think The explorer is the same . I may be wrong , but I think it is .
