Been waiting on parts to come in from Clay, as posted yesterday I got the exhaust installed. The main package I wanted was my quad Isspro gauges, and those were due today. Well get home from work, they are here, im excited as hell, open the box and immediatly get pissed off. What was in the box? The triple setup. Me I have a little bit of a temper sometimes, especially with a day like I had today, so I almost lost it. I sat back, admired what was there, and the quality of work on the pod and gauges, and let it sit in. Settled down before I called him due to I will be buying other things from him sometime in the future, and let him know the problem.
Well I told him, and told him that these were planned to get put in this weekend, basically my side of it.
He checked his records, and said this has happened a couple of times since the demand for the triple is more than the quad. Stated he would do everything he could to get this out today.
My thinking was theres no way. He has to paint the pillar, get it dry, pack it up with the fuel pressure gauge setup, and get it to ship. Yea theres no way. Well I gave it a couple hours and sent an email to him stating when he did get it shipped, please send me a tracking number so I can keep an eye on it.
Low and behold, not 2 minutes later I got a response. Was not the response I thought it would be (It will have to ship tomorrow, or something along those lines), it was a tracking number. Due to the time problem with it, he had to just send a can of paint with it so I can paint it here, but damn.
So now I know why all you guys preach this guys name. Hell of customer service if I do say so myself. Now for this weekend to get these gauges installed.
Just sharing my story for anyone that has not dealt with him yet.
when i ordered my usa housing from him and they were on backorder, i called him and he said it would be about 3 weeks well i really wanted it before i got my tunes from beans and i told him when those would arrive, and no S*** i got the housing in a little less than 2 weeks same with his AIH delete plug said he was out i got an email back the same day said he found one in a box (meaning he actually went looking for one) and sent it the same day.... couldnt believe it. i try to order most of my parts from him just for his outstanding customer service and the fact that he knows a lot and is a great guy. he will always have me as a customer
Well even better news now. Tracking number must be the gauge thats supposed to be here tomorrow, because I got home today and the pod and paint was already here.
Damn good company to do business with. He will be my first choice from here on out.
None of this surprises me (except for the part about the original order getting messed up). Clay is as stand up as there is. For those who haven't been around long enough, Clay was a regular poster on this board for years and the company that he worked for downsized or went out of business and he decided to start Riff Raff. It was a bold thing to do, but close to 6 years later, look at how his company has grown. He did that by his word being good, as well as the products that he sells.
That's a cool story. I have been looking over his site and love it. Very well laid out and easy to navigate.
This was my very first order from him, and let me tell you being messed up for my first order turned me off of him. But as soon as I talked to him on the phone, and heard what he had to say, and the urgency of it, yea ill stick to him.
My only problem with Clay is that he offers more products then I can afford.
No seriously, absolutely great for customer service. I just ordered a bunch of stuff that has not come in yet, a day after the order, I decided I also wanted a new dog house, he didn't have it listed because he does't stock them, but he is getting one for me. Thank you Clay.
