Short skirt hypereutectic piston with a long stroke tend to have some piston slap on startup. Mainly startup in colder temps. I have some in colder temps and I use MC Filters and 5w-30 synthetic. Switching to a different brand oil more than likely will not change anything. Fram is an inferior filter (even the more expensive versions) best bang for the buck is the MC FL-820s or Purolator Pure One equivelent.
