Fixed my problem!!

Had problems with my truck since December and finally broke down and took the truck to a very reputable shop to have the truck looked at. I thought that my problem was a fuel issue, but after the shop hooked the truck up to their computer it turned out to be a bad sensor. Turns out the Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor had a loose wire that was causing the electrical system to read under 5 volts and it was resetting the computer every time it wiggled loose. So, after 5 months of frustration, I spent $270 on service at the shop and it now runs as strong as ever.

I am also now running synthetic oil (Shell 5w-40) and the truck starts up better than ever...no more slow starts and poor idling.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me with my issues,

Adam

It ran poorly to say the least, but what the really bad part was that it would short out the system. A wire connected to the exhaust back pressure sensor was really lose and the WIF light and coil light would come on at the same time when the truck had a load on it (when the turbo started spooling?). The connection was so bad that the truck would rarely run over 1500 rpm's...hard to get over 25 mph.

The truck started every time, except for a few rare occurrences.

From what I can tell, every time the truck got a load it would reset. As soon as the sensor was replaced the truck ran perfectly and we have not had any problems sense.
