Friday eye candy
460 cu in gasoline V8, surround tinted glass, passenger sliding door, dual barn-style rear doors w/rear mount tire. Has only 124K original mi. 1-owner.
The body sits on the standard Ford 12-passenger E-350 Super Duty chassis and is fully loaded w/electric windows (the driver's side window recently stopped working) & locks, tilt steering wheel, front and rear factory heat and air conditioning, AM/FM stereo system, upgraded XLT interior, 2-tone burgundy/silver exterior, towing package w/Class IV heavy duty hitch, running boards, dual/auxiliary tank, etc.
I bought it new in the fall of 1988, towed a 32' travel trailer and boat for several years. Used it as a standard driving vehicle with 4 kids for years. Then had an accident that the insurance totaled (salvage title), damage was to the grill front fender, hood, driver door and side body - no damage to frame, suspension, or drive train. I still have all the invoices showing the repair of the damage.
It was primarily stored after it was repaired. Clean interior, no tears in red velour upholstery, headliner, or carpet. However, the interior sliding door inside panel is separating, will need several new snap-on plastic connectors to hold it in place.
It is on non-op status (since 92) and will need the fees (~$80) to be paid to bring it out of non-op to current registration - thru Sept '13 (smog not required for me to do this). However on a transfer/sale, a smog test will be required and it has a right side exhaust manifold leak that will likely not pass the "visual" part of the smog test until fixed, as the passenger side exhaust manifold leak sound is noticeable.
In addition to that, the last time I drove it (6-months ago) it ran but stalled out (lack of fuel) until I waited for 1 min to restart it and drove it back up the driveway. Maybe the fuel pump, gas-line/filter, or fuel tank switchover issue? I ran it again today (2/13/13) and added stabil (stale fuel additive) and some clean gas, started and idled fine but the transmission fluid was low, may be the seal leaking due to sitting for a while? Also had two spots with moisture in the center of the passenger compartment headliner, since it did not rain recently and there was no indication of any rust on the top of the vehicle, I suspect it is condensation buildup from the cold/sun, but when used for years, that never occurred, so another unknown issue I suppose.
Due to the salvage title and the above 2 items, my asking price is only $1150. This is a hard to find nearly one-of-a-kind 1 Ton Super Club Wagon that includes a workhorse drive train, brake system and suspension. You can use it to:
1. Pull a travel trailer (or horse trailer)
2. Comfortably travel with your large family
3. Strip out the back seats and carry your dirt bikes to the trails in comfort and security
4. Part it out and sell the major items (engine, transmission, seats, etc) for significantly more than what you pay for it (in exchange for your time/effort/space - all of which I don't presently have the luxury or willingness to invest)
Call 916 2(two)3 9570 (please leave a telephone number slow and clear) or text. If you text I will only respond with very short messages - I don't have a high-tech phone and the multiple key strokes to type out words is most cumbersome.
If you send an eMail remember to leave a telephone number so I can call you back. Due to spam messages I will NOT reply by email.

What's the lever on the passenger seat cushion inboard side?

Our Chateau doesn't do this!

Not mine, no interest in sale.

To my eye that's one horrible interior color, at least up front--probably looks great in the dark though!

Thanks for the eye candy---nice van!
