What is that "CLUNK" that you hear when the engine first fires up? It only happens occasionally. Before I owned a PSD I heard someone speak of it but I don't remember. Anyone?
I have heard that too and thought it was somthing to do with the heating/airconditioning. Like a vent shutting or somthing. I seem to hear it more on cool days. Hey I also had a 94 xlt ext cab. Loved that truck!! looked like mint when I sold it and I wish I never had. I love my F350 but I also really liked my F150. oh well..........
I heard that too and found out, through this site, that it's a valve opening and closing. I tried to find the thread that discussed it but must be gone now. nothing to worry about though. Thats why it happens on cool days.
It still scares the poo-poo out of me once in a while. Most of my business is on the coast of NJ and there are always too many people around. Every time it happens I think I'm running over someone's kid or someone is planting their Beemer under my truck.
Yeah, Mr. Feexit, I'll miss it (F-150). A guy I know wants to buy it and I'm holding it for him. I feel pangs of guilt every time I pull in my driveway and see it; no racks or boxes, dusty, peeking out from behind the barn. I'd love to keep it as an extra but, NJ insurance is the highest in the country and it's too much to pay just for a beater.
