It pulls HARD. Then again, with camper special tall gears, any engine would pull a house off its frame. Its not real quick off the line and its got kinda crappy acceleration, but it can pull like nothing I've ever driven.

I won't be swapping one for my 390 then any time soon, but just in case I ran across one. I actually turned down a 74 Elite with a 400 just because of the lore them engines have

Yeah I've been looking for a nice 460 to replace it since I'm not a real fan of that engine either.

Nice work.

Are you talking about the dome lights up front that are switched? Or the one towards the back? If you mean the ones on the switch, I remember that they were wired weird. I believe that in order for them to work, the headlights have to be on. That, or the door has to be open so the other dome light is on. Try playing around with it, cause they definitely both worked when I had it.

I was having issues with the dome light in the center. I ended up rewiring it a bit and reattaching it to the roof since it was falling down. 2 hours and some wall anchors later, it looks like it actually came from the factory with that light

The exhaust is made out of those repair pipe sections you can buy at Autozone. The mufflers are from NAPA. Over all, the system seems to have cost me about $120.

Hey you never posted that link from the youtubes! And is that 120 really cheaper than just getting it done at a muffler shop?

nice thats similar to how mine is done. Your truck i believe is a standard acb so your exhaust will fortunately be a bit shorter

Yep, off the headers it would only be less than 4 foot of tubing

That was the plan. I was going to run it with no muffler, but the local patrol officers would probably not like a straight piped 390
