Hey guys first off i would like to say thanks for the info being posted on here i recently picked up and V10 4x4 that had a minor studder from 35 mph+ using the info on this site i self-diagnosed the problem, read the code(even though the check engine light was not on) and found the cyl 8 misfire popped the coil pack and its plumb full of water(two days earlier engine bay was washed for delivery and the coil pack was not tighten down all the way. just wanted my first post to be a thanks to you guys.

Welcome to FTE and congrats on the new truck. Great group of people here who are always willing to help you out. Glad you got it fixed. They sure don't like running on 9 cylinders do they?
You can learn a lot in here, and save a lot of money. I wash my engine compartment at the quarter car wash but go gingerly around the cops and never had a problem......................welcome to the forum.

Luckily mostly on upgraded replacements, or preventative things which ultimately save you from an inconvenient common problem at the worse possible moment.
And we learn to fix stuff vs. Pay someone who frequently doesn't do a thorough job.. now when we do it wrong the first time, WE know what went wrong and DO it right the second (or sometimes third) time.
