Fuel filter question

It's under the black plastic cover on the center of your engine. To change the fuel filter, remove the plastic cover first. Turn the drain valve open to drain the water out until you smell fuel. The drain valve is to the left of the fuel bowl. I like to completely drain the bowl when changing the fuel filter and fill it back up with Standyne lubricity formula. With the drain valve open, unscrew the black cover to the top of the fuel bowl. Make sure to close the drain valve and remove the old filter. Install the new filter and gasket. Put some diesel fuel on the gasket to help it seal and tighten the top of the fuel bowl. Some of the newer replacement filters come with the lid attached. If you use one of these, make sure you save the factory fuel bowl lid in case you need it in the future.
