changed the starter in my 2000 f250, taped the 2 starter wiers after disconnecting instead of disconnecting battery, had a spark( didnt taped as well as I thought). Got new starter in, cranks great, but wont fire up. checked fuses and relays, replaced cam sensor, have power to glow plugs and seems like fuel pump is running. I am at a loss, not too diesel smart

 

Charge your batteries and verify that you have at least 10-10.5 volts while cranking. These engines will spin fast even when the voltage is low, however the PCM won't fire the injectors so you really need to check your battery voltage.

 

Batteries are strong, over 12 volts. No smell out of exhaust either

 

Is that 12 volts during cranking?
