I got the bad news from the body shop. The hinge, on my 2001 Leer, cap side is worn out; and the bed side is not in good shape. I don't even know where to begin. Can't find the OEM hinge parts. Also the entire truck including cover was just painted. Has anyone else had this problem? What was the fix? Also how is the hinge attached to the top?

BTW, I'm not blaming the Body Shop, as they did a beautiful job, and back in the Winter the top made a clicking sound when opened that went away.

 

Time to fab up a new one
