hey all
i have been looking for about two weeks so far on the internet with no luck. i am trying to find companies that make them for an 1980 stepside. anyone know who makes a tonneau cover for my truck. im still in the process of doing the body work but need to compare prices and the durability of different companies so i know what to get later.
Your best bet is to have one made up by a local shop. They don't make them anymore, and they never made the clamp on rail style, only the kind you have to drill for snaps. I have one from bestop on my 86 stepside (see my gallery) but they are discontinued and havn't been made in years. You might be able to find some old stock somewhere, that's how I got mine. Like I said, the easiest thing is to just have a good shop make it up for you, shop by me told me $300. If you can find an new old stock one, it would probably be much cheaper though. I wouldn't keep it on in the winter, either, but that will give you more time to look with the summer almost over now. Good luck.
