hey
im putting a c6 (88 bronco) in my 85 f150 4x4 351w (69).
it seems that i need a longer intermediate housing
mine is 5 3/4 long.
which doesnt work with my np 208.
can anyone verify the one i need is 8 3/4 long ?
What tranny did the 85 originally have? Did you compare their lengths? There are different length c6 trannies, but I have seen most of the different lengths in the 70's compared to the 80's.
I just looked up a 85 f150 and they only list one choice for the c6 auto 4x4 tranny. I looked up a 88 Bronco and they list 3 choices depending on which engine you have. I don't know what that is all about.

The trans came from a 351w bronco.
Maybe it had a bw transfer case.
???
If I can't find the intermediate housing...idk.
