I removed my current speedo driven gear to order an 16 tooth gear and it does not match the listing in the DC catalog. The one removed is s 19 tooth right angle with a deep scalloped base which matches the "B" type end picture. There is no listing for a right angle "B" type. The right angles are all "A" types.
This may not be the correct gear because NumberDummy had identified my transmission as coming from a 1957/62 Ford Galaxie/F100/250 light duty 3 speed manual (I have 64 F100).
What is the correct end type for this transmission? The current driven gear functions fine, it is just 20 mph slow at 60 mph. Thanks to dman2008, I have a functioning speedometer and now I want to get the reading as close as possible.
