The truck looks good! How does one go about "stripping off the factory tint"?
Well not factory but done at the dealership when purchased. We we're limited in NE with how dark it could go.
The issue I was having was I couldn't see the face of my kenwood stereo during sunny days. With the darker tint and the sun strip they installed I can see the screen on the radio perfectly now.
They did strip off the tint that was put on at the dealership and reinstall 15% tint.
Aww man - had to come back into this thread to look darn it
the flares, fuel tank, and amp steps are screaming "BUY ME" !!!!
but with stock 20's the flares would be too much,
but with stock 26 gal tank the in bed tank would be GREAT when towing !
and the amp steps would be just gravy
how does the in bed tank work - auto gravity feed or just pumped in when you want it ?
a LOT of the time, won't need 76 gallons, but would come in handy when towing in the boonies !
The transfer flow comes with their fuel system called the Trax II.
It works with the trucks unit and usually when the main tank is 3-4-5 gallons down from the aux tank it pumps fuel in into the main tank automatically.
The other nice thing is I can price shop diesel. I was down to 18 gallons total between the two and new I'd need fuel soon for memorial weekend. I ended up eventually passing a truck stop that had it 17 cents a gallon cheaper. Saved me about $10 right there filling up.
The Transfer flow tank also has it's own fuel filter as well before it pumps into the main tank.
The only thing that doesn't work for the Aux tank is the Distance till empty feature on the information center. To me I don't sweat it. It tells me how much fuel I have for the two tanks and I'm fine with that.
I just should have done it sooner. Driving 5-6 weeks in town with no fill up, I like that.
Last fill up was about $211.00 with 18 gallons in both combined. Towing this next couple of weeks will really prove to me it was the right choice. Trip should be about 5,000 miles.
nice work Majik!!! Love everything about those mods can i ask where you got the amp steps from? i think this is the way im going too! Keep up the good work

Thank you sir. I got my steps from the dealer. Aikens Ford in Winder, GA
Bought and installed by their accessory shop. They've done actually most all the work on it. Awesome group of guys, If you want it, they'll do it.
Awesome truck majkthreads. Bet ur pretty proud when u drive down the road! Good work.
Yeah it's nice to get compliments on it when I'm out and about.
I was in a small town in OK and was looking for def fluid as the alert came on.
Had a hard time finding it and the guy said sometimes we carry it and sometimes we don't. Not many residents here drive nice new vehicles like yours. You did a good job on it.
My wife thinks I live for people to comment on it but I don't. It's just nice that my vision turned out as well as it did. I'm proud of it.
Now to just get it paid off so all the hard work is mine.
