I changed mine out but not for stock ones. I had a company here in WI custom make me some. They make leaf springs for train cars. For $400 plus tax out the door I got a brand new set of springs with bushings. They said they are not quite 1 1/4 ton. I say they are one ton so I dont get the itch to put more weight than I should in the back.
no iirc there was an issue with towing trailers on the 08 were the back end sagged a little to much. I could be worng on that though.
either way not a hard thing to really do cut rivits off of purches and relocate them to fit the 08 srings.
I will say punding out frame rivits is a pain.
So the procedure is to relocate all four spring hangers to accomodate the longer springs for a better ride. Is that the correct understanding as for everyone else as well?
relocat as required. set the axel up varifiy correct pinon angle and move the hanger perch as needed would be my method if i were to do it, but ive not tried it before and have done 0 research on the subject
