I might have a big problem here

hey guys, i need help, i just replaced my fuel injectors today, and my truck is running like junk i get code 41 (hego sensor detects system lean) i ordered injectors from rock auto they are part number FJ712, my injectors have part number E5TE-A3B
i believe the injectors i have are wrong, but im not sure it runs like it has sever vacuum leak, there is a chance the upper plenum gasket might have slipped out of place when i re-installed it but i dont know does anybody have any info on the injectors i installed ? the injectors i have are said to replace part number E67E-B1B or E7DE-B1B HELP PLEASE!!

I'm not entirely sure on it BUT I have heard that when guys replace there injectors it will give you a lean code because it's new to the system and it will fix itself within a few days. I'm not completely sure on that one though.

i wouldnt be a bit surprised if that were the case, but its running like junk right now the other night i had to keep my foot on the gas just to keep it idleing ( after a few minutes it would idle on its own) i just want to make sure its not the injectors

can anyone else confirm that it might just need to adjust to its new injectors?

Another thing you could do is test and make sure your idle is all set correctly.

Unfortunately, like the injectors, the idle is controlled ENTIRELY by the computer.

Code 41 indicates that the voltage from the HEGO was low for a period of time longer than expected if it show up during the KOEO test. If it shows up during the KOER test, the voltage remained low throughout the entire KOER test.

There is a rather tedious troubleshooting process that you can implement if you are absolutely certain that you have no vacuum leaks. However, until you have established that for certain, there is no accurate test to verify the problem.

WIth the above statement made, if you determine that you have no vacuum leaks, connect a voltage meter in parallel with the HEGO circuit. In other words don't disconnect the HEGO (O2 sensor) but connect the meter by probing through the insulation of the HEGO circuit wires with a pair if straight pins or similar device so you can take a reading while the system is in operation. (DO NOT let the two pins or probes of the meter touch at any time or you WILL kill the HEGO sensor). Once you have done this, Start the engine and run at 2000 rpm for two minutes (this ensures full operating temp). Let the engine return to idle and observe the meter. The voltage from the HEGO should switch from below 0.45 VDC to above 0.45 VDC several times in a 5-second period. If it remains below 0.45 VDC, remove the air intake hoses from the throttle body and place the nozzle from an UNLIT propane torch directly in front of the throttle bores with the engine running. Open the valve on the torch and observe the meter. If the voltage still doesn't increase, you will need to check the distributor, wires, make sure of firing order, and check fuel pressure, and the entire EGR system... OR you can replace the HEGO at this point and hope like hell the problem truly is a failed HEGO sensor.
