Not a shameless plug

I'm kinda to the whole forum community thing so this might be a dumb question but here goes anyway. Is this the largest (most established) Ford truck bulletin board?

Occasionally I do searches on the internet to verify things before I post on here so I don't give people bad info and all the time the search results contain pages from Ford-Trucks.com. Usually there are several if it's about a Ford specific issue. I don't usually get pages from other BB's. I hear about Pirate something or other and the dieselstop on here from time to time and occasionally they will turn up in my search results but not very often.

Also how long has the board been here? Most of the pages that come up in my searches have a different style to them than it has now.

Not a shameless plug

We've been around longer than all the others. There is one site with a higher post count, but (at least) half the posts, in my opinion, are "that's cool", "me too", "check it out" and other such "post pads". Search engines are generally smart enough to know the difference between content and fluff. They don't add fluff to their index.

FTE has more users and more visitors, period, than any other Ford truck site. Its not a boast, just simple fact. We do this without the aid of a magazine, big corporate dollars and glitzy marketing because technical content has been the primary focus of FTE since day one. On the Internet, content is King.

As to why many pages linked by the search engines look different: its because we switched to new forum software in January and there are still many pages from the old system linked to by the search engines. More and more of the new system's posts are appearing though....

I'm ashamed to admit that this is the first time I've read the FTE history: amazing. You don't realize how something has grown exponentially until you see it in a timeline like that. Required reading for all FTE'rs!
