IIRC, this is how I did it. Remove the door panel and lower the window so you can get to the linkage. Unhook the linkage from the channel on the bottom of the glass. Remove the chrome channel between the vent window and the door glass. This give you some wiggle room. Raise the glass and tape it to the door, then lower the regulator so it's out of the way. Now remove the tape and lower the glass with your hands, taking it out through the door panel. Sounds easy! In reality, you'll have to raise, lower, move, wiggle and curse, but it does come out the door panel.
Be careful taking the channel off the glass. They are usually stuck on pretty good and you stand a good chance of bending the channel if you pry on it. I designed a removal tool which works great, but it may cost to much in shipping than to buy new ones or I would loan it to you. Good luck!
